Monday, 2nd December 2024: Safe in God’s hands!

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 23:14
“And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.”

Reflections: The story of David in the wilderness of Ziph highlights the faithfulness of God in protecting His chosen ones. Despite being relentlessly pursued by King Saul, David was preserved by God. This was not because of David’s strength or strategy but because of God’s intervention. Saul’s intent was clear: to capture and destroy David. Yet, God frustrated Saul’s plans and ensured David’s safety. In life, we may feel like David, surrounded by enemies, pursued by challenges, and under constant attack. Just as David found refuge in God, you too can trust in the Lord as your hiding place. God will make the efforts of your enemies futile and keep you safe in His stronghold. Remember, no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my shield and my refuge.

Confession: The Lord is my refuge and stronghold.
