Scripture Reading: Dan 1:15
And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.
Reflections: Daniel and his three friends were selected for job positions in the Babylonian kingdom. Like the other chosen children, they were required to eat a royal diet for three years before the job interview. However, Daniel and his friends refused to consume the royal diet, which went against their Jewish faith. They requested to eat only vegetables and water for ten days, and if they were well-nourished, they would continue with it. The king’s officer agreed to their request, and after ten days, they looked much better and healthier than the other children who had eaten the royal food. It became clear that mere vegetables and water could not have improved their health and appearance quickly. This scenario pointed to a supernatural encounter. Just like Daniel and his friends, you can be supernaturally nourished, where what you eat and drink would be caused by God to produce the necessary ingredients for growth, health, and good condition in your body.
Prayer: May I be blessed with supernatural nourishment that transforms my health and appearance.
Confession: Through supernatural nourishment my health is restored and rejuvenated.
