Scripture Reading: Matthew 1:19. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
Reflections: Mary was engaged to Joseph who is described as a ‘just’ man. Translated from the Greek word ‘dikaios’, to be ‘just’ speaks of someone who observes divine rules. From this, we realize that the character exhibited by Joseph was shaped by divine (righteous) rules and this was responsible for why he yielded to the counsel of God to keep Mary and not to abandon her. Like Mary, learn to align yourself with people who observe divine rules in life! They are the ones who will support your destiny and help you walk in righteousness! Merry Christmas!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me disengage myself from wrong associations in life.
Confession: I align myself with people who observe divine (righteous) rules in life.
