Scripture Reading: Hebrews 10:7
Then said, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me) to do thy will, O God.
Reflections: Jesus Christ came into the world to atone for the sins of humanity. The writer of Hebrews beautifully captures this work of Grace and provides details about why and how the work of atonement took place and its impact. In doing this, the writer points us to the existence of a book which predates the entry of Christ into the world. The volumes of this book were written about every step Christ had to take to fulfil his mission of atonement. This book, therefore, spoke about his destiny which he pursued. This is indicative that there is a book of destinies which prescribes what each of us as human beings are expected by God to do on earth. Like Jesus Christ, your life must conform to the pattern of your prescribed destiny. Seek to live in tandem with your divinely approved destiny!
Prayer: Dear Lord, please let my life be driven by what is written of me in the pages of the book of destinies.
Confession: I don’t live anyhow. I conform to the pattern of my destiny as prescribed in the pages of the book of destinies.
