So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
Reflections: Goliath’s imposing presence and fierce words caused fear among the soldiers of Israel for a long time. However, on the 40th day, a young boy named David arrived at the camp to deliver provisions to his brothers who were part of the army. In the face of Goliath’s intimidating outburst, David did not succumb to fear but displayed remarkable courage. David’s refusal to be intimidated led to his courageous confrontation with Goliath and ultimately to Goliath’s defeat. He killed Goliath with a sling and stone. David became an example of strength and bravery through his unwavering faith and refusal to be intimidated. Like David, refuse to be intimidated in any situation.
