Monday, 24th ~February 2025: Obeying Divine Instructions Through God’s Servants!

Scripture Reading: Acts 27:21-22

Reflections: Paul, a prisoner on a storm-tossed ship, had warned the sailors against setting sail from Crete. Ignoring his counsel, they faced a violent storm that threatened their lives. After days of turmoil, Paul reminded them of their mistake but assured them of God’s mercy—no life would be lost, only the ship. His words carried divine authority, offering both correction and hope. God often speaks through His servants to guide and protect us. Paul’s warning was not mere human advice; it was divine direction. The sailors’ disregard led to unnecessary hardship, showing the consequences of ignoring godly counsel. However, Paul’s reassurance demonstrated God’s grace even in their disobedience. Likewise, when we receive instructions from those God has placed over us—pastors, mentors, or spiritual leaders—we must discern if they align with God’s will and obey accordingly. Disobedience can bring harm, but heeding divine guidance leads to safety and blessings.

Prayer: Father, Help me to discern and obey instructions from your servants that align with Your will.

Confession: I discern and obey instructions from God’s servants that align with His will.
