Scripture Reading: Mark 5:2-4.  “And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.”

Reflections: The man possessed by an evil spirit lived in constant torment, uncontrollable and breaking the chains meant to restrain him. No one could help him—until he encountered Jesus. When he saw Jesus, he came from the tombs to meet Him. The demon within recognized Jesus’ authority, begged to be cast into a herd of swine, and was immediately cast out. Instantly, the man was freed, restored to his right mind, and reintegrated into society. This story illustrates how demonic forces can enslave individuals, trapping them in cycles of suffering and hopelessness. Yet their power is nullified when Jesus steps in. Like this man, you may feel trapped in a helpless situation, but remember: Jesus can break any ‘chain’ and bring complete restoration. Trust in Him, for He alone has the power to deliver and make you whole.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I trust You to break every chain that holds me captive.

Confession: I am free in Christ, and no force can keep me in bondage.
