Scripture Reading: Matthew 1:20
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Reflections: As they worked towards their marriage plans, Joseph discovered along the line that Mary was pregnant. This was going to be a public disgrace. Besides, he had had no sexual contact with her. As he planned to secretly end the relationship, he was visited by an angel who explained to him that Mary’s pregnancy was of a divine order and that their marriage had actually also been arranged divinely so he could father Mary’s divine baby, the saviour of the world. Like Joseph, things may go contrary to your expectation but may end up to be an appointment connecting you to a glorious destiny. Cheer up! God is up to something! Merry Christmas in advance!
