Scripture Reading: Mark 5:27-29
When she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched his garment. For she said If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway, the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague
Reflections: Over the course of twelve years, she had tried numerous procedures to stop the bleeding. The failure of every effort she made should have emotionally destroyed her to the point of giving up on life entirely, but she persisted. One day, when she heard Jesus had to come to town, she decided to see him for divine healing. She observed how difficult it was to break through the mob to get to Jesus as she left home. However, her desire to touch Jesus’ garment moved her. She continued forcefully wading through the crowd until she was about a hand’s length away from Jesus. She stretched forth her hand and grabbed Jesus’ hem quickly. The bleeding stopped instantly. She had succeeded in getting healed this time. Even though your initial attempt at completing a task may not be successful, you must keep going till you succeed!
Prayer: Oh Lord, give me a heart that perseveres.
Confession: I keep going till I see results.
