Monday, 22nd February 2016: You can get the anointing working for you!

Reflection: The prophet Elisha lay sick on his bed and was ready to die. King Joash upon visiting him broke down into tears. Elisha was quiet and seemed not to be moved by the tears of his king. But somehow as soon as the voice of the crying king began to sound with the words ‘O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof’, Elisha jolted and moved into a prophetic action that engendered spiritual support for Joash. These were the same words that Elisha spoke out to Elijah which released the anointing unto his life (2Kings 2:12). Indeed the words of the King moved the anointing upon Elisha into action. What if he had wept throughout without mentioning these words? Certainly there are things we must do or say which will bring the anointing of God into action to favor the course of our lives. The king did not miss this. Don’t ever miss it too! You can get the anointing working for you! Just be led to do whatever you are required to do at any time.

Confession: I will not miss whatever I have to do to bring down the anointing to work in my favor.

Scripture Reading: 2Ki 13:14-15
Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.
