Monday, 21st October 2019: God has his own time table!

Scripture Reading: Habakuk 2:3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Reflections: Habakkuk received a revelation from God. He was burdened to see its immediate manifestation but it was not forth coming. He decided to ask God why. In his response, God surprisingly ruled out the issue of delay and informed him that the vision was only waiting for it’s appointed time to manifest. Habakuk’s duty was therefore to keep waiting for this appointed time. In our walk with the Lord, there may be times where we don’t see God act with the promptness and speed we want. During those moments we must remember that God has his own time table and that he will surely act when that time comes. In such circumstances, we must learn to wait. To wait means to hold on and not to sway away. Like Habakkuk, you have a responsibility to keep waiting until God acts as per his time table. Do not sway! Remember, ‘He makes every thing beautiful in His time’- Ecclesiastics 3:11

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to abide by your appointed times.

Confession: I will abide by God’s appointed time. Whenever any vision seems to tarry , I will keep waiting until he acts!
