Scripture Reading: Habakuk 2:3
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Reflection: Habakuk received a revelation from God. He was burdened to see its immediate manifestation but it was not forth coming. He therefore enters into his watchtower to enquire from the Lord why the manifestation of the revelation was delaying. God speaks and surprisingly informs him that there isn’t really any such delay but that the revelation was only waiting for its appointed time to manifest. Habakuk’s duty accoding to God was therefore to keep waiting for this appointed time which cannot be resisted. In our walk with the Lord, there may be times where we don’t see God act with the promptness and speed we want. During those moments we must remember that God has his own time table and that he will surely act when that time is due! All you need to do just like Habakuk is to keep waiting. To wait means to hold on and not to sway away. You have a responsibility to keep waiting until God acts. Do not sway! Remember, those who learn to wait for the promises of God to manifest are never brought into shame. Keep waiting until he speaks!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to abide by your appointed times.
Confession: I will abide by God’s appointed time. Whenever any vision seems to tarry , I will keep waiting until he acts!
