Scripture Reading: Matthew 8:13
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour
Reflections: ‘It has been done for you just as you have believed’ Jesus said to him. The Greek word translated ‘believed’ is ‘ pisteuō’ which means ‘to have faith’. So by faith , the centurion had his specific request to have his servant instantly healed by Jesus granted. When he initially approached Jesus for this intervention, Jesus had personally wanted to go with him to his house to see his servant. He however restrained Jesus from traveling and argued out that healing could be administered without his physical presence in his house. He believed wholeheartedly that just a command of healing from his lips will surely travel through time and space to take expression in the body of his servant. This was a real demonstration of outstanding faith which Jesus rewarded instantly. The faith of the centurion establishes the evidence that God honors you at the level of your faith. When your faith is limited, you limit what God can do. Conversely when your faith is outstanding, God proves himself! Be the next centurion in town!
Prayer: Oh, Lord help me to believe you for miracles with faith that is outstanding.
Confession:I will not demonstrate limited faith in my life. My faith for breakthroughs shall be outstanding. I will be honored with spectacular results.
