Scripture Reading:1 John 5:-6 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
Reflections: The Apostle John highlights that light and darkness are fundamentally incompatible and cannot coexist. He uses the metaphor of light to represent righteousness and darkness to define sin, emphasizing that righteousness cannot exist alongside sin. John describes God as pure light without any darkness, underscoring that it’s impossible to claim a relationship with God, who embodies righteousness while continuing to remain in darkness, which is sin. Therefore, the undeniable truth is that you cannot have a relationship with God while living in sin, and your life must reflect this truth by demonstrating that you are incompatible with sin.
Prayer: Help me, Lord, to stay away from sin.
Confession: Sin is incompatible with me.
