Scripture Reading: Joshua 8:26
Jos 8:26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
Reflections: was time to conquer Ai. Joshua formulated a conquest strategy (ambushment) as instructed by God. As the strategy moved into implementation, God instructed him to spread out the spear in his hands towards the city (Joshua 8:18). By this prophetic action, his men were driven into action. They were backed by divine power and began to overpower the men of Ai. Even though God did not specify how long Joshua should stretch out his spear, he held on to that position until the battle was completely over. This means he refused to be distracted and did not give in to tiredness or complacency. The lack of focus, excuse of tiredness or complacency can ruin your chances of having a divinely appointed winning life, especially in spiritual battles. Like Joshua, with determination backed by divine authority, you will win and remain a winner in any of life’s battles!
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me approach every task with focus and determination.
Confession: I win in life. I am backed by divine authority. I approach every task with focus and determination.
