Monday, 11th January 2021: Keep making that vehicle available!

Scripture Reading: Psalm 84: 5-6.   Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God
Reflections: Not only does the Psalmist inform us about the role of divine strength in ensuring our progress in life but also provides an indication on how one can be positioned to access this strength. A case in point is how he notes that those who go from strength to strength are seen in Zion to appear before God. Zion is the city of David where the temple for congregational worship is located. The Psalmist therefore establishes that participation in congregational worship with the aim to develop a strong fellowship with the Lord serves as an avenue of activating divine strength We see in Psalm 122:1-5 how all the tribes of Israel, from wherever they live, congregate to worship the Lord in Zion. Your uninterrupted gathering with the saints (congregational worship) and your active participation in the service is indeed a vehicle used by God to infuse you with divine strength. Keep making that vehicle available!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the divine strength I derive from congregational worship.
Confession: I appear before God in congregational worship. I go from strength to strength.
