Monday, 11th December 2023: The best is yet to come!

Scripture Reading: John 2:10
And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now

Reflections: The wine ran out at a wedding feast where Jesus was among the guests. Jesus came to the rescue by instructing the servants to fill the empty water jars with water and draw out its contents. Miraculously, the water turned into wine; it tasted far superior to the previous wine. The man overseeing the feast was amazed and wondered why such a delicious wine had not been served earlier. This narrative teaches us that sometimes what we think is best can be surpassed by something even better when God intervenes. We should never forget that the best is yet for those who love God. In the words of Paul, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” Therefore, we must keep up the fight of faith and trust that the best is yet to come.

Prayer: Dear Lord I thank you that you have always reserved the best for my life.

Confession: The best is truly yet to come! I am holding on!
