Friday, 8th January 2025: Be Strategic to Achieve Your Goals!

Scripture Reading: Matthew 9:12-13
“But when Jesus heard that, He said to them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.’”

Reflections: In His response to criticism for associating with sinners, Jesus revealed a strategic approach to His mission. He focused on those who needed Him most—those sick in spirit and in need of repentance. Jesus’ words remind us that achieving goals, especially in fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives, requires intentionality, prioritization, and clarity. Being strategic means aligning your actions with your purpose. Like Jesus, we must evaluate where to invest our time, energy, and resources to maximize impact. Misplaced efforts or trying to please everyone can lead to distraction and unfulfilled goals. Instead, wisdom and strategy help us stay focused, prioritize what truly matters, and achieve God’s plan for our lives.

Prayer: Lord, Help me to define my goals according to Your will and prioritize wisely.

Confession: I am strategic and intentional in my actions.
