Scripture Reading: Acts 10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
Reflections: Cornelius had a daily routine of praying and doing good deeds for people. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help those in need. This consistency in his behaviour formed a memorial before God, a record kept in one’s memory to honour the person. In response to his memorial, one day God sent an angel to Cornelius to minister to him. This divine visitation changed his life for the better. Like Cornelius, we should strive to make our lives a memorial before God by consistently doing what is right and pleasing to Him. Our efforts will surely be rewarded.
Prayer: Dear Lord, assist me in making my life a memorial to you.
