Scripture Reading: Psalm 84:5-6
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
Reflection: The Psalmist envisions a person who is confronted by a valley called ‘Barca’ but transforms it into a well. The person is able to do so because he/she is blessed with strength from God. ‘Barca’, which is a Hebrew word, means ‘ weeping’ and therefore represents an adverse condition. A well on the other hand is a place where water can be drawn and represents a source of satisfaction. The transition from ‘Barca’ into a ‘Well’ implies a turn around from a helpless condition to a satisfying one. You have power from God to transform your life from a helpless state to that of a condition that satisfies. Rather than breaking down or giving up when you encounter any helpless condition, employ the authority in the name of Jesus to reverse that condition. It is time to speak positively into your condition. Go ahead and make your ‘ Barca’ a ‘well’.
Prayer: Oh Lord, I thank you for your power! By your power, let there be a turn around in my condition.
Prayer: I have power from God to turn things around. I will not give up in life. Every Barca in my life is turning into a well.
