Friday, 7th February 2025: Operating in Enemy Territory!

Scripture Reading: Matthew 10:16 (KJV)
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”

Reflections: Jesus reminds us that as His disciples, we are sent into a hostile world. He compares us to sheep among wolves, emphasizing the challenges and opposition we may face. Yet, He equips us with two essential qualities: wisdom and harmlessness. Being “wise as serpents” means walking in discernment and making thoughtful decisions, while being “harmless as doves” reflects purity, love, and Christlike character. This balance enables us to navigate hostility effectively while staying true to our mission. Though we are in enemy territory, God provides His Spirit, guidance, and strength to sustain us.

Prayer: Lord, help me to walk in wisdom and innocence as Your disciple. Strengthen me to overcome challenges and represent You faithfully. Amen.

Confession: I am walking in wisdom and Godly character
