Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Reflections: The response of the Thessalonians to the Gospel was overwhelming to the extent that Paul wrote to commend them. Among others, not only were they noted to have turned away from the worship of idols to serve God but were also seen to be waiting for His son Jesus to come from heaven to rapture the saints. This is an indication that they kept reminding themselves about the soon return of Jesus. This consciousness provides one with the motivation to live righteously and to withstand trials and temptation. It is evident that those who live their christian lives without keeping the coming of Jesus in mind end up compromising their christian standards. They are easily swayed away by worldliness and tend to wallow in carnality. Like the Thessalonians, keep the coming of the Lord active in your mind and prepare towards it. Rapture readiness will keep you glued on the path of righteousness!

Prayer: Oh Lord, may I never loose the consciousness that you are returning to the earth to rapture the saints.

Confession: I live with the consciousness that Christ will be returning to the earth to rapture the saints. I am rapture ready!
