Scripture Reading: Col. 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Reflections:Being raised up with Christ in the baptismal act speaks of having been justified and raised up as sinless. In other words charges against us as a result of our sins are dropped and considered buried. Yet revealing in the use of this baptismal vehicle is what Paul terms as faith, the operation of God. Fundamentally therefore, it is the faith we apply when we confess our sins as part of the baptismal act that erases the sinful charges! Faith has therefore that tremendous operational power that enforces something beneficial done in the past on our behalf (I.e. death, burial and resurrection of Jesus) to take effect in the present so we can reap of its benefits and enjoy them accordingly. As an operational invention of God, you will always need to cooperate with faith. Remember it carries power to overthrow whatever can ever condemn you and fight your life! Live by faith all the time!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for faith as an operation of God!
Confession: By faith, no charges can be sustained against my life. I live by faith all the time!
