Scripture Reading: 2 Chronicles 20:22
And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
Reflections: The Moabites, Ammonites, and the people of Mount Seir decided to engage King Jehoshaphat in battle. This terrified Jehoshaphat. He, therefore, approached God in prayer and asked for Divine Help. After God assured him of victory, he marched his people into battle. His army had a component of singers. They sang praises as they marched in front of the army. This looked weird but what followed was such a wonder. God suddenly AMBUSHED the enemy allied forces. To ambush is a military tactic where you make a surprise attack on someone from a concealed position. They got confused and began to fight against each other and ended up killing themselves. Jehoshaphat and his people looked on in utter amazement. as they won the battle without ever needing to fight. Like Jehoshaphat, God will ambush your enemies. Just keep praising Him!
Prayer: Oh Lord, ambush my enemies!
Confession: My enemies will be ambushed by God.
