Scripture Reading: Judges 11:8 (NIV)
“The elders of Gilead said to him, ‘Nevertheless, we are turning to you now; come with us to fight the Ammonites, and you will be head over all of us who live in Gilead.’”
Reflections: Jephthah faced a turning point when those who once rejected him came seeking his help. He could have chosen bitterness and refused them, but instead, he forgave and stepped into the leadership role they offered. By doing so, he moved beyond past hurts and seized a new opportunity for growth. Like Jephthah, we often encounter situations where we can choose forgiveness and courage over bitterness. In doing so, we open ourselves up to the opportunities God provides for our advancement.
Prayer: Lord, give me a forgiving heart to embrace new opportunities with gratitude. Help me to make the most of each chance You place before me.
Confession: I choose to forgive and to seize every opportunity God brings my way for upliftment.
