Friday, 4th March 2025: Don’t Let Status and Self-Interest Hinder You from doing what is right!

Scripture Reading: Acts 24:25 mnctototogel
And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

Reflections: Governor Felix had the opportunity to hear the gospel from Paul. As Paul spoke about righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix trembled under conviction. However, instead of repenting, he dismissed Paul, saying he would call for him at a “convenient season.” His love for power, status, and personal gain prevented him from embracing salvation. Felix represents many who recognize the truth but refuse to act because of pride, status, or selfish interests. He feared losing control, wealth, and influence, so he delayed his decision. Many people postpone surrendering to Christ or doing what is right, thinking they have time. They allow personal ambitions, wealth, or societal expectations to become barriers to their salvation or doing what is right before God. Learn to put God above your desires, status, and ambitions.

Prayer: Lord, help me to put You above my desires, status, and ambitions.

Confession: I will not let pride or personal gain hinder me from doing what is right before God. rans4d
