Friday, 3rd December 2021: There will always be a way out!

Scripture Reading: 1 Kings 17: 14
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

Reflections: The widow was getting ready to die. The famine in the land was so sore. She only had a handful of meals and a little oil to cook for her son and herself. This meal, she believed, was going to be her last after which they will starve to death. As she went out to gather firewood to cook this last meal, she met Elijah. The events that followed completely changed her condition. In the process of serving Elijah with that last meal, God miraculously touched the barrel containing the flour and the bottle containing the oil. Interestingly, the ingredients never got finished until the famine was over. As long as you look up to God and comply with His directives in life, He will surely make a way for you whenever you come to a dead-end in your life. With God, there will always be a way out for you!

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that there will always be a way out with you.

Confession: There is always a way out when I even think there isn’t.
