Scripture Reading: Exodus 5:22-23
And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
Reflections: Moses returned to Egypt, empowered by God to free his people from slavery. However, his initial efforts only led to increased hardship and resistance from both Pharaoh and his own people. Feeling frustrated and questioning God’s plan, Moses complained to Him. However later he saw God fulfill His promise in an unexpected way. This experience taught Moses that God’s ways are different and His timing is perfect. The lesson remains that even when circumstances worsen, God will keep His promises and never abandon us. Keep going!
Prayer: Dear Lord I thank you that you will always keep to your promises.
Confession: God is working and He will prove himself faithful.
