Friday, 28th January 2023: Always envision and be motivated by the outcomes of your goals!

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 30:28.  The spider taketh hold with her hands and is in kings’ palaces.

Reflections: The writer of Proverbs emphasises that the spider’s special wisdom allows it to penetrate the king’s palaces despite its little size. Spiders climb with hairy/fibrous hands and feet. In the process, they spin delicate threads and weave them into webs. These webs then carry them anywhere. The trip of spiders to their destination is arduous, but one thing, among many others, exemplifies their exceptional wisdom that the writer of Proverbs seeks to drum home. Focusing on expected results (the joy of taking up residency in prestigious abodes of men) spiders are motivated to keep going until they make it. Like the spider, you must envision the outcomes of your life’s goals. This will then motivate you to persevere through any obstacle until you make it.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please provide me the ability to envision and be motivated by the outcomes of the goals I set for myself.
Confession: I am motivated to carry on by visualising the end results of the goals I set for myself.
