Friday, 26th May 2023: You have the strength to push through until you make it!

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:11

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Reflections: Old Testament personalities are used by the author of Hebrews to show that faith is a way of life that cannot be disregarded. He clarifies a different component of faith with each character. In the case of Sarah, he says that despite being old and infertile, she found the strength through faith to conceive. Dunamis is the Greek word that is translated as strength. It refers to the power to accomplish anything. One benefit of “dunamis” is that it makes it possible to push through any obstacle in order to reach your goal. Therefore, in the context of Sarah, strength refers to the capacity to persevere even when all signs indicate that you should give up. Strength produced by faith is accordingly the power of God that rises up within of you and won’t let you give up until you witness His glory. Like Sarah, you have the strength to push through until you succeed!
Prayer: Oh Lord, I thank you for the strength to push through until I make it!
Confession: I have strength to push through until I make it!
