Scripture Reading: Luke 1:78
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us.

Reflections: In his prophecy, Zechariah described Jesus as the day-spring from on high. The word ‘day-spring” is translated from the Greek word ‘anatole’, which means a ‘rising of light’. This light breaks through at dawn and chases away the darkness of the night, allowing the light of the day to operate. Jesus, as the ‘rising of light’, not only dispelled the darkness of sin to enable us to live in the marvellous light of God but also took residency in us. The implication is that within us is the rising light. As you manifest this light, no power of darkness can limit you!

Prayer: I thank you, Lord, for the rising light within me.

Confession: Within me is the rising light. I am unconquerable
