Scripture Reading: Gen 39:21.
But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
Reflections: Joseph was noted as a recipient of God’s mercy and favor. As a result of these two divine elements at work in his life, he broke through all the challenges he encountered as a slave and made it to his given height. By mercy and favor he was enabled to have access to such rare opportunities that ended up defining his life as a man to be reckoned with in Egypt. Mercy is the prerogative act of God that moves Him to overlook any fault in a person in order for the person to have access to divine blessings. Favor on the other hand is yet another prerogative initiative of God that causes Him to overlook the subject matter of merit so that the recipient will unconditionally become a preferred choice to access blessings. Like Joseph, by God’s mercy and favor you will get to the place of fulfillment in life.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please make me a recipient of your mercy and favor.
Confession: God’s mercy and favor speaks over my life. I breakthrough on every side.
