Scripture Reading: 2Kings 6:6
And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
Reflection: They set off to the area around the Jordan river to cut down trees for the construction of a new room. As they got to work, the axe-head of one of the prophets slipped down the handle of the axe and fell into the water. This loss halted the effort of the prophet to work. He needed to get it back at all cost. He sought the intervention of his mentor, Prophet Elisha. When Elisha arrived, he cast off a stick into the river. As they all looked on, the lost axe head miraculously floated to the surface of the river. It was amazing to see a stick produce such a magnetic effect. The men could now get back to work. The axe head represents the means to achieve an end. In life, you may loose what you depend on to achieve an end but God can get it restored. Any ‘axe head’ of your life which has slipped off into the water can float to your reach again. Just ask God for that divine restoration.
Prayer: Dear Lord, let there be a restoration of any loss in my life which is needful to help me achieve my objectives in life.
Confession: My God is a restorer. He restores losses in my life so that I am enabled to carry on with the attainment of set objectives. I am unstoppable.
