Scripture Reading: Mark15:23
And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

Reflections: During Jesus’s crucifixion, He was offered two types of drinks. The first one contained myrrh, which He refused. The second drink was vinegar, which had no sedative or painkilling components like myrrh. Jesus consciously avoided taking shortcuts to achieve His destiny. He knew that enduring pain was a necessary part of it, and He embraced it until His last breath. In Matthew 4:1-10, the devil tempted Jesus with shortcuts, but He refused. If you want to fulfil your destiny, learn to avoid shortcuts, as it could change God’s will for your life.
