Scripture Reading: Heb 10:1
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Reflections: Those who lived in the Old Testament era had an animal sacrificial system that atoned for their sins. At the time, they thought what they had was the best. They had no idea that it was only a shadow of better things to come. When Jesus came into the world, He introduced the new and better covenant by taking the place of the animal sacrificial system. We can deduce from this that God moves in phases and each stage of his interventions points to yet more greater things to come. As a result, you must always remain faith-fueled in readiness to encounter something new and greater from God from time to time. Be on the lookout for new and good things!
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that you always have something good in stock for me.
Confession: I look forward earnestly and unwaveringly to encountering good things in my life from God from time to time.
