Scripture Reading: Matthew 4:11
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Reflection: Satan came around Jesus. He believed he was going to succeed with his tactics to get him flawed. After three of his attempts failed, he realizes that he was wasting his time. There was no need hanging around a man who will not allow himself to be separated from the word of God. It was so frustrating and time wasting. He had to go somewhere else and off he went. He left Jesus alone! If Jesus had entertained his thoughts or his ways even slightly, Satan would definitely have felt that it would have been worthwhile hanging around him and he would never have departed from him until he had succeeded. The point is clear. If you don’t waste the time of the devil, he will never leave you alone! Get him frustrated by remaining inseparable with the WORD. Like he left Jesus, he will surely leave you alone!
Prayer: Dear Lord, give me strength to keep holding on to your word.
Confession. I stick to God’s word. Any time the devil spends on my life will be a waste. I will not give in to his word. He will realize it and leave me alone.
