Scripture Reading: Genesis 50:24-26
“And Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am about to die, but God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
Reflections: As Joseph neared death, his faith in God’s promises remained unshaken. Despite living in Egypt for years, he held onto the covenant God made with his forefathers, believing that Israel would one day leave Egypt for the Promised Land. His hope was so firm that he made his family promise to carry his bones when God fulfilled His word. Like Joseph, we are called to trust God’s promises, even when their fulfillment seems distant. Our circumstances may change, but God’s faithfulness does not. We may not always see immediate results, but we can live with confidence that His promises will come to pass.
Prayer: Lord, help me trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that Your promises never fail.
Confession: I believe in God’s promises and trust in His perfect timing.
