Scripture Reading; Luke 8:2
And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
Reflections: Jesus began a missionary tour by travelling to cities and villages to preach the gospel. In addition to his twelve followers, several ladies affected by his ministry joined Him. They had been cured of numerous illnesses and liberated from demonic control. One of them, Mary Magdalene, was exorcised of seven devils. All of these women shared a common trait. They readily and generously contributed their resources to support Jesus’ ministry. They understood that the ministry’s mission didn’t only thrive on anointing but required funding and was always willing to provide it. Learn, like Mary Magdalene and the others, to devote your resources to Kingdom work. Much as it demonstrates your gratitude to God for the positive influence the gospel has had on your life; it goes a long way toward allowing the gospel to operate and reach more people.
Prayer: Dear Lord, make me a kingdom financier!
Confession: I give to support kingdom work.
