Scripture Reading: Psalm 32:10b but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
Reflection:The Psalmist points us to the benefits of trusting in God. He describes these benefits as being surrounded with the mercy of God. Mercy in the Hebrew (chesed) speaks of a whole package including pity, compassion, forbearance, favor and gentleness. It is God’s tenderheartedness in action towards the needy. Thus when you allow God to completely lead and direct your path, i.e trusting Him, your action becomes the key to unlocking His mercies over your life. Don’t throw this key away!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to trust you fully with my whole life.
Confession: I hold on to the key of trusting in God alone. I am engaged and surrounded by His mercies. My needs are met.
