Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 15:34-35 (NKJV):
Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul. And Samuel went no more to see Saul until the day of his death. Nevertheless, Samuel mourned for Saul, and the Lord regretted that He had made Saul king over Israel.
Reflections: In ancient Israel, a king’s success depended on his relationship with God, often strengthened by the guidance of a prophet. For King Saul, Prophet Samuel was this divinely appointed helper, offering prayer, counsel, and prophetic direction. But when Saul disobeyed God, he lost Samuel’s support, which ultimately led to his downfall. This illustrates a key truth: neglecting our relationship with God can disrupt the flow of divine support and cost us the people God has placed in our lives to help us. To retain His guidance and the support of destiny helpers, we must maintain a close, uncompromising walk with God.
Prayer: Lord, help me to value my relationship with You above all else.
Confession: I enjoy the support and presence of destiny helpers in my life.
