Scripture Reading: Acts 12:16
But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
Reflection: Peter was kept in prison. He was on the death row. The disciples could not help but lift up their voices in prayer for his release. In the course of their prayers, a knock was heard on the door. Rhoda, a young girl rushed to door to answer. As she listened to the voice of the caller, she realized it was that of Peter! With joy she rushed back to inform the disciples. They disbelieved her and thought she was getting mad. How could Peter, held bound in chains and tightly locked up in the prison yard, escape to join them?. This was impossible to them. At best, this could only be his angel, they all concluded. What a shock they had when they eventually opened the door at Rhoda’s insistence! It was Peter all right! Apparently he had been released miraculously by an angel in response to their prayers. The impossible had become possible! What you think is impossible is possible with God! What ever seems to be impossible in your life will surely turn around by divine intervention!
Prayer: Lord, I believe all things are possible with you!
Confession: Nothing is impossible with God. What ever seems to be impossible in my life is turning around!
