Scripture Reading: 1Th 2:2
But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
Reflection: Paul recounts how even though all the odds were against them, they could not be stopped from doing the work of the ministry. Through boldness, they still managed to get the church at Phillipi established in the midst of great persecution. Evidently, boldness was part of their lifestyle. Boldness is part of our righteousness ( Proverbs 28:1) and you must demonstrate it in your life. You cannot get far without it. Boldness ‘is the opposite of fearfulness’. To be bold ‘implies a willingness to get things done despite risks’. Remember, unlike the army of Israel, David even though young, was the only one who was bold enough to face Goliath and ended up killing him! Be bold in this life and refuse to be intimated!
Prayer: In the name of Jesus, I refuse to be intimidated in life.
Confession: I am bold in life. I cannot be intimidated. I surmount all oppositions against my life.
