Scripture Reading: Exodus 8:19b – “Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God.”
Reflections: When Pharaoh’s magicians, who had previously duplicated Moses’ miracles, were confronted with the plague of gnats (lice), they were rendered powerless. Acknowledging defeat, they recognized this act as the unmistakable ‘finger of God,’ a clear demonstration of the supreme power of the Hebrews’ God. This phrase, also referenced in Psalm 8:3 and Luke 11:20, symbolizes God’s sovereign control over both nature and human affairs. Just as God silenced Pharaoh’s magicians, He will similarly demonstrate His power in your life, silencing those who oppose you. Have faith that the finger of God will work in your favor, overcoming obstacles and turning the impossible into reality.
Prayer: Oh God, let Your finger work in my favor.
Confession: The finger of God is at work in my favor.
