Scripture Reading: Revelations 3:8
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Reflections: The church at Philadelphia was noted by God to have kept His word and refrained from denying His name despite the odds of life. As a result, they were commended and blessed by God. The blessing was both earthly and eternally based. Keeping to God’s word and demonstrating publicly that our lifestyles belong to Him is the key that opens the door to divine commendation and blessings. Like the Philadephia church, we must endear ourselves to biblical-based living and never disassociate ourselves from being known as His children.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help keep to your word and live in obedience to your will.

Confession: I keep to God’s word and live daily by His will.
