Friday, 11th September 2020: Make your way through to victory

Scripture Reading: Mar 5:27-29. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague
Reflections: For 12 years she had tried one thing after the other to get herself healed of hemorrhage. The failures of every single effort she made over the years should have broken her down emotionally  such that she should have contemplated suicide, dissented the presence of people and just give up on life like many will do but she held on. One day she heard of Jesus passing by. She decided to try this one too. As she stepped out she realized how difficult it looked to breakthrough the crowd. However her focus on the goal she had set to touch the garment of Jesus surged her forward. She kept  wading through the thick crowd, perhaps falling down and rising up again severally, until she got to about a hand stretch away.  As quickly as she could, she reached out and got hold of the hem of Jesus‘s garment. The fountain of blood within her dried up at once. She had succeeded this time around. Like her, you will also succeed if you don’t give up. Keep making your way through to victory!
Prayer: Oh Lord, help me make my way through to victory.
Confession: I make my way through to victory. I am unstoppable.
