Friday, 10th November 2023: You must cooperate whenever you need to initiate a faith response!

Scripture Reading: 2Kings 3:17
For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

Reflections: After travelling for seven days to suppress the Moabite rebellion, the king of Israel and his two allied forces ran out of water, and their search for it proved futile. The land appeared to be affected by drought, and the situation was dangerous as the soldiers’ ability to fight the enemy could be impacted due to dehydration. To find a solution, King Jehoshaphat suggested seeking help from Prophet Elisha. Elisha asked them to dig trenches in the valley for God to fill. Although this seemed unusual, the allied kings complied. To their amazement, the following day, the valley was filled with water without any rainfall. Digging trenches represents a faith response to doing something unusual. Like the king of Israel and his allies, God may require you to ‘dig a trench’ to achieve your breakthrough!

Prayer: Dear Lord, please assist me to cooperate whenever I need to initiate a faith response.

Confession: I cooperate whenever I need to initiate a faith response.
