Scripture Reading:Daniel 6:22
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt
Reflections: No one had ever been known to survive the lion’s den. As a result of their success in getting Daniel flung into the lions den, his accusers considered it a done deal. Nonetheless, their expectations were dashed. Daniel was discovered the next morning, unharmed by the lions and still alive. He described how an angel had entered the den ahead of him and told the lions to keep their mouths shut. According to Daniel, the angel was sent to his rescue because God found him to be innocent. To be blameless means to be innocent. It is a manifestation of a righteous character. Daniel’s righteousness was thus the foundation for his deliverance. Don’t underestimate the power of living righteously. It’s a portal for heavenly intervention!
Prayer: Dear Lord, let a portal for heavenly intervention be open over my life.
Confession: Living righteously is my lifestyle. I enjoy divine interventions.
